This Sony K Series laptop came in with the symptom of being able to see everything on the screen very faintly. If you hold the LCD under the light you can see the laptop booting up like normal.
For $99 lcd screen was taken apart and the inverter replaced. Once you fix the inverter the laptop works like new!
